The Condylar Head and Upper Condylar Neck Fractures Treated by Oblique Osteotomies in Ascending Ramus.

Abstract
In case of fractured condylar heads and upper condylar necks, it is very difficult for oral surgeon to reduce and immobilize the fractured sites properly. The immobilization of these fractured sites is so difficult that many oral surgeons are trying to study how to operate adequate reduction and fixation.
3 cases of 16-year-old girl and 57-year-old man and 20-year-old man with condylar head or upper condylar neck fractures, the author applied Dr. Nam¢¥s method(oblique osteomies) in order to reduce and fix the fracutred bones.
Surgical approach was performed by Risdon approach. The skin marking was placed 1CM below and behind the angle of the mandible. And the separated posterior part of the ascending ramus and the fractured condylar head fragment were removed out from the body in order to reduce and fix each other and thereafter replantations were made at the same sites.
